Welcome to Melissa, TX. Melissa is located seven miles northeast of McKinney just off State Highway 75, in north-central Collin County. From this community came many individuals and families who have been prominent in the business and professional life of Collin County. 

While we may be a smaller city and growing, we are a dynamic city with a national standards sports facility (The Z-Plex) - featuring baseball, tennis & soccer, and a nationally recognized hair salon.  We are also home to a Texas icon, Buc-ees, with a second Texas icon coming in 2024, HEB.  Our Melissa Independent School District proudly ranks in the top 10 ISD’s in Texas.

Melissa is a city in Collin County, Texas, United States. The population was 4,695 at the 2010 census, up from 1,350 at the 2000 census; in 2020, its population grew to 13,901.
